Road Kill
Road Kill was an idea I had on a recent trip to College Station, Texas with my wife. We drove to College Station on October 16, 2009. Along the way, someone hit a deer out in the middle of nowhere. There was blood all over the road and the deer carcass was in the middle of the road. I started thinking about how creepy it would be if the carcass wasn't there; just the blood. That's what this story is about.
And, since I wrote this story entirely during the month of October, I decided to submit it for The Dunesteef Audio Fiction Magazine October Scary Story Event.
